Overview

The cornerstone of our service work is quick turn, fast paced projects. We are seeking a Service Project Manager that is responsible for overarching service management for multiple low-voltage and technology based systems disciplines across a variety of customer types. The Service Project Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities, proposal creation, contracting work, obtaining field resources, oversight of all assigned service projects, managing schedule and communicating with the client in support of performing efficient, effective and profitable service scope. They coordinate field labor, material, sub-contracts, equipment and office support ensuring that work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. 

This position is focused on generating work with end users, customers and repeat clients. This is a full-time exempt position. It is based out of our Redmond, WA headquarters and is a fully in-office or on-site role. 

 

Responsibilities

You’ll act as our customer’s main contact at all times, interacting with customers regularly to ensure their satisfaction and repeat business. Additional responsibilities for this role include:

  • Initiating contact with existing and potential customers; identifying their needs or project requirements and selling appropriate services to meet those needs
  • Responsible for their projects as well as the authority to utilize all available company resources in meeting the goals of the projects
  • Developing estimates and budgets for assigned projects and meeting or exceeding established annual sales expectation
  • Partnering with other Divisions with Sequoyah and looking for opportunities to provide holistic solutions that include all offerings company wide
  • Reviewing contracts and negotiating with Contractor and Subcontractors
  • Developing baseline schedules for projects to reflect accurate labor, material, equipment and subcontract time requirements and project constraints. Measuring the baseline against actual progress and implementing appropriate corrective action as necessary
  • Leading project start-up to make sure all information is available and coordinating with design and permitting resources as needed
  • Maintaining accurate current and complete records for all assigned projects to measure and document both project and team progress and results from planning through closure of the project
  • Completing project budgets and monitoring job cost weekly for accuracy; completing monthly work in progress (WIP) reports for review and discussion
  • Expediting, negotiating and approving all project internal charges and issues and external contract changes and issues
  • Promoting safe jobsites and works with the Safety Director to ensure all safety issues are properly addressed
  • Scheduling and facilitating project closeout and post-job reviews


Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of project management experience in the low voltage systems industry. They will have experience selling low-voltage system service work as well as knowledge in low voltage systems including security and fire alarm. They should have thorough knowledge of electrical construction cost, accounting, scheduling, estimating and engineering principles. 

 

Skills and Abilities

Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple projects at various stages concurrently. It requires a high level of interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal, and someone who is a self-starter, capable of working both independently and as a member of a group.
